    Last summer my husband and I set out to buy a vacation home on Vancouver Island. We discovered Randall through a property he had listed that was in an area on the island that would allow foreign buyers. This discovery lead us on a journey with Randall to find a home that met our needs and would allow us to spend the summers on Vancouver Island. Randall was extremely gracious and patient to show us 29 different homes over the course of three separate visits to the island last summer and many calls and emails. It was quite a process as we knew what we wanted in a home, if possible (view, newer or renovated, easy maintenance, easy to care for when out of the country, easily accessible to shopping and island amenities, within our budget, etc.). It was not an easy task, but Randall’s knowledge of the market, the foreign buyer ban, various communities on the island, and never ending kindness and patience led us to finding a perfect home. We are forever grateful to Randall and the time and energy he spent on helping us realize our dream to buy a home on Vancouver Island. If it had not been for him, we may still be looking!!! We happily and highly recommend Randall to buyers, including those from the US who have to navigate buying in a foreign market.

    My recent experience of purchasing a home on Vancouver Island with realtor, Randall Mang, went smoother than I could have ever imagined. After being introduced as an Ontario resident moving to the island, even though it was still several months before my move, Randall suggested that we have a virtual meeting so that he could become familiar with what I was looking for. From that point on I received regular updates identifying available properties with my filters in place and we continued to communicate about the fluctuations in market prices. Once I was ready to get serious about making Offers, Randall freed up his time to be exclusively available in order to maximize my viewings in the 2 short days I was there (while also ensuring that I was set up with excellent accommodation). My top pick ended up being a home that he had found that wasn't even on my radar. After knowledgeable advice on pricing, my Offer was accepted within a day of arriving. Randall followed through to attend the home inspection in my absence and brought a few things to the attention of the owner that were then further negotiated.
